Sports Achievements:

Our young pugilists have made a mark of their own at international and national level thus bringing laurels to our institute as well as our nation.

  • Our talented boxer Prachi Khatri of Class 12, represented INDIA and secured a bronze medal in the International Training Camp-cum-Competition 2025, held in XINJIANG, CHINA and also a bronze medal in Asian Boxing Championship held in Amaan, Jordan in May 2025.
  • In Inter School Boxing Championship 2025, the outstanding performance of our students brought 19 medals win with 11 gold, 2 silver and 6 bronze medals. Our school proudly captured the Overall Championship in Under-17 Boys, Under-17 Girls and Under-19 Boys.
  • We won three gold medals in CBSE National Boxing Championship
  • One gold and two silver medals won at the Khelo India Youth Games for Boxing held in Bihar.
  • At the Junior Nationals 2025, we won one gold and two bronze medals. In school National Boxing Championship, we bagged two gold and one silver medal which was held at Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh.
  • At Mahatma Gandhi Kompte Games held in Chandigarh. 1st position was bagged by us in under 12 boys in Javelin Throw event.
  • Our student Aryan Makkar brought laurel by winning Gold Under-19 in the Chandigarh State Badminton Championship 2025
  • Our Under-17 Boys Badminton Team won the Overall Championship in the Inter-School Badminton Tournament.
  • The Yoga experts of our school won 4 Gold, 3 Silver and 3 bronze medals in 6th State Yogasana Championship Games 2025.
  • Our talented student, Nikhil Nandal, of class X achieved a remarkable feat by winning the Gold Medal in the Sub-Junior State Kayaking and Canoeing Championship. In recognition of his outstanding performance and dedication to sports, Nikhil was honoured at Tagore Theatre, Chandigarh, where the Honourable Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, presented him with a cash award of ₹48,000 for being a consistent winner every year.
  • The school organised CBSE Cluster XVII Basketball Tournament under-19 (Boys & Girls) in Aug, 2025 wherein, more than 90 teams and around 1080 participants from Punjab and Chandigarh participated to prove their mettle as the young and energetic players of Basketball.
  • The school inaugurated 25th PML Memorial Basketball Tournament and 15th PML Memorial Boxing Tournament (Boys) and 5th PML Memorial Boxing Tournament (Girls) in the memory of its revered Founder Pandit Mohan Lal ji on 29th August 2025 with solemn respect and dignity. The champions of both the tournaments were felicitated with medals, certificates, and cash prizes of total amount Rs.1.5 lacs.
  • A student of class V, our young talent, won a gold medal in the 3rd Punjab State High Kick Taekwondo Championship.
  • In Inter School Taekwondo Championship, we won two bronze medals and in U-19, one gold and 1 silver. In Inter School Wushu Championship, we won one gold.
  • At a recent event held at Sports Complex, Chandigarh, our students won 1 gold, 10 silver and 1 bronze in Inter School Yogasana Tournament.
  • It was a proud moment again at the 69th National School Games (U-17) Boxing Championship held at Kehlo India Indoor Stadium, Itanagar (Arunachal Pradesh) where Prachi Khatri and Ishika clinched Gold medals each and Anshika Dabas won Silver medal.

Our school organized 1st CBSE National Boxing Championship, Boys and Girls, 2016. Mr. K.K. Sharma, PCD (Retd.), Chairman-cum-Manager was the Chief guest of the inaugural ceremony. More than 150 teams including boys and girls and around 500 students from all over India and abroad participated in this mega event. A colourful cultural programme was also presented on this occasion which enthralled the audience present on the occasion. A four day event concluded on 29th September 2016.

Our school organized CBSE Cluster XVIII Athletic Meet (Boys and Girls) 2016 at Sports Complex, Sector-46 A, Chandigarh. Mr. K. K. Sharma, PCS Retd., Chairman cum Manager of PML S D Public School was the Chief Guest on this occasion. The Meet commenced with the warm welcome of the Chief Guest. It was followed by March past and an oath ceremony by the participants.  The Chief guest, Mr. K. K. Sharma, hoisted the flag and declared the meet open by releasing multi-coloured balloons which ascended upwards carrying the message of true sportsmanship spirit far and wide.  A vibrant cultural show was also presented on this occasion which was appreciated by one and all. This year more than 70 teams and around 800 participants from Northern Region participated. The four day mega event concluded on 7th November, 2016.

Jaskaran Singh of our school has been selected for 62nd School National Games to be held at Chattisgarh from Dec 26 to Dec 30, 2016.
